Enhancing Frontenac's Green Spaces

Positive Changes by the Frontenac Garden Club

The Frontenac Garden Club has initiated numerous projects that have transformed our community's green spaces into vibrant, welcoming areas. From planting native flowers to organizing community clean-up days, these efforts not only beautify our surroundings but also foster a sense of community pride and engagement.
Meet Our Dedicated Volunteers

The heart of the Frontenac Garden Club lies in our passionate volunteers, who tirelessly work to beautify our community and foster a love for gardening among residents.

Mark Thompson

Sarah Lee

Sarah is a local artist and gardener, known for her creative designs that enhance our public spaces, making them not only beautiful but also inviting for all.

2025 was a banner year for the Frontenac Garden Club

The fourth Frontenac Garden Tour was a resounding success that welcomed a record number of residents and visitors to explore stunning private gardens, learn about sustainable landscaping, and connect with fellow garden enthusiasts. This event not only showcased the natural beauty within Frontenac, but also celebrated our growing list of resident hosts.

In addition to the Garden Tour, FGC members organized four Trash Bashes  this year, rallying volunteers to remove more than 100 bags of litter from our major roadways. These events make a visible difference in our city’s appearance and demonstrate its commitment to landscape preservation.

Our dedication to greening Frontenac continued with fresh plantings and invasive plant removals, particularly in the natural spaces at the city’s entrance from I64. By adding native plants and clearing out harmful species, FGC helps preserve local habitats, improve air quality, and create a welcoming gateway for all who enter our city.

Your support will help the Frontenac Garden Club nurture the city's natural spaces and inspire future generations to care for our environment. See our Volunteer and Donate pages for ways you can get involved. Thank you for helping the Frontenac Garden Club grow!

Seven of the most beautiful gardens in Frontenac were featured on June 21, 2025, at the Frontenac Garden Tour. In its fourth year, the Tour has continued to double in visitors each year, with some guests attending multiple events.
